Envirogreen of Florida Mosquito Control

In the midwest to the eastern seaboard and down in the southern states we are all affected by mosquito's. The local cities and state agencies try every year to control the mosquito population. They do this usually by flying over a mosquito infested area and spraying an insecticide that will kill the mosquito population. However, do we know exactly what they are spraying? Is this product safe for the general population and wildlife?

I am sure you have seen a misting system before such as the one's they use at theme parks across the country. Small tubing is placed in inconspicuous areas that are attached to nozzles. Then water is pumped through the system to create a fine mist in order to help keep people cool. Some companies have taken this idea and created a mosquito misting system. It begins with a 55 gallon drum, pump, and timer. The system is then installed using tubing and nozzles to create a barrier around someone's home and yard.

Envirogreen of Florida has developed an all GREEN misting system product that kills mosquito's and other flying insects. Our product contains four enzymes that lay dormant until mixed with water. It also contains yeast that assists in cleaning the misting system as it is sprayed. Many of these systems are set to spray three times a day. Usually twice in the early morning and once late at night, which are the most active times for mosquito's.

Here is a link to one company that has developed a mosquito misting system: Coastal Mister

Raised Organic Garden

We planted a raised organic garden back on May 15, 2010. We planted yellow, green, and red bell peppers. We also planted some sweet banana peppers as well. After planting them we sprayed Envirogreen of Florida's, Complete and ExtremeTek. These two products help maintain a symbiotic relationship between the plants and the soil.
Complete helps build strong and healthy plants by allowing the plants to access nutrients that are already in the soil. It contains high energy biological components that reduce nitrogen and phosphate input for increased stability in the plants.
ExtreneTek helps defend plants against harsh environments. It also helps reduce groundwater and downstream runoff by allowing the roots to absorb more water and nutrients.
In a short span of five weeks these two products have already helped the plants remain strong and vibrant in the hot and humid Florida summer. We have two sweet banana peppers growing on two different plants. We also have four bell peppers growing on three different plants with signs of even more on the way. Below you will see pictures of our plants taken five weeks after planting.

Envirogreen of Florida's GreenX

Envirogreen of Florida brings to you a nitrogen and phosphorus free product that will keep your lawn, garden, and ornamentals thriving through the nitrogen ban. We all know that plants need nutrients to survive. It is true that nitrogen and phosphorus are essential in keeping plants and lawns alive throughout the year. The problem is that most lawn care companies will apply conventional fertilizers that contain way more nitrogen and phosphorus than is needed for the plant to live.

We should all learn to look at our lawn and plants as living creatures. As a living creature they need to eat just like humans do. Plants will absorb nutrients that are in the soil when they are "hungry". Once a plant has absorbed enough nutrients, or has become "full" it will stop absorbing the nutrients. When lawn care companies apply conventional fertilizers the excess nutrients will run-off into groundwater, canals, and storm drains. When you use GreenX you are using a product that contains soil biologicals, organic carbons, minerals, and potassium. Since GreenX helps increases organic matter in the soil the root system is stronger and aids in photosynthesis.

GreenX can replace nitrogen and phosphorus based fertilizers during the rainy season. After the rainy season is over then we can go back to treating the lawn with Envirogreen of Florida's Complete. Complete is rated as a 3-1-1 fertilizer. That is 3% Nitrogen, 1% Potassium, and 1% Phosphorus. The percentage of nutrients in our product is enough for plants to remain healthy as well as reduces the amount of nutrient run-off into streams, canals, and groundwater.

Organic Garden

Here are some updated pictures of our raised organic garden. We are using two of Envirogreen of Florida's products, Complete and ExtremeTek. Complete is an all organic based fertilizer with just enough nitrogen and phosphorous for the plants to absorb. ExtremeTek helps defend the plants root system from environmental stresses.
These two products also help the root system by reducing nutrient runoff as well as reducing water usage. They assist the root system by absorbing more water and more nutrients to help make the plants strong and healthy no matter what the conditions.

First signs of some peppers! These were planted on May 15th, 2010
We will be applying our third product, All Out, here shortly. All Out is our natural pest defense product. Made from essential plant oils and complex carbohydrates.

Pesticides Linked to ADHD

This is a very interesting article about the use of pesticides on vegetable and fruit crops. This is just another example as to why we all should be pushing for everything to be grown organically. Throughout history people have grown crops around the world and did not have synthetic or conventional fertilizers to use on their crops and yet their crops survived.
How is this possible? It is because they would use materials that were already found in nature to help control the pests. Mother Nature provides us with some of the best natural and organic material that can be re-used over and over again to help control pest populations in crops and our very own gardens.
Our product, All Out, contains selected essential plant oils, botanical extracts, and complex carbohydrates. All of these are already found in nature. It contains castor oil, cedar oil, and garlic oil. It's the natural way of defending against pests.
Imagine being able to have piece of mind that you and your children are eating food that is organically grown like Mother Nature intended it to be. The use of pesticides and their long term effects on us are not readily known. This article suggests that they could be causing ADHD in children. Although the study does not out right prove this is the case it certainly sheds some light on the possibility that pesticides and insecticides used by major crop growing companies could possibly be harming us.

New Raised Garden and Tomato Plants

We planted some tomato plants about three weeks ago. We used an all organic soil to plant these tomato plants. We have three plants and two of them we treated with Envirogreen of Florida's Complete and ExtremeTek. The difference in the plants is amazing. One of our plants already has two tomatoes growing on it. We will continue to update you with pictures as they continue to grow. Below are the pictures of our tomato plants:

The plant on the left and the one in the center were treated with our product.

Treated with Complete and ExtremeTek

Another tomato plant treated with Complete and ExtremeTek.

The one tomato plant that we did not treat with anything. It's only nutrients come from the organic soil.

We also built a raised garden bed over the weekend. In the bed we have green, yellow, and red sweet bell peppers. We also have banana peppers, carrots, and cilantro planted. The entire garden has been treated with Complete and ExtremeTek. The raised garden can be found at Home Depot for $59.97.

The box is 4' L x 4' W x 8" H. You can add another one on top if you wanted it to be deeper. It says it can hold 10 cu. ft. of soil, but I found that 9 cu. ft. was enough. We used an all organic soil for this box as well. Hopefully by the end of July we will have lots of healthy and all ORGANIC peppers to harvest! Updates to follow.

Natural Pest Control

Natural Pest Control

Envirogreen of Florida wants to ensure that Mother Nature remains intact. We develop our products so that we assist Mother Nature rather than harm her. Many of the pesticides and insecticides on the market today will kill all types of insects. However, these pesticides and insecticides are not always safe for pets, children, or adults. That is why we have developed, All Out, to ensure that pets, children, and adults are safe in their own yard.
All Out is nature's way of keeping pests and insects OUT of your lawn and garden. It is not to be considered a conventional fertilizer or pesticide. By using All Out you aid your plants, lawn, garden, and crops in building a natural immune and phyto-defense system. In order to do this, All Out uses organic essential plant oils, complex carbohydrates, and adjunctive activated organic spring water molecules. To simplify this, All Out contains all natural occurring ingredients that have been used for centuries to control pests. Nature has a funny way of developing its own resources to defend from pests, bugs, and insects.
Envirogreen of Florida has harnessed organic materials that will defend all of your plants, lawn, and gardens from insects. If you would like more information please contact us through our website: Envirogreen of Florida.
